The two major subdivisions in the Marksheffel area are Banning Lewis Ranch and Claremont Ranch. Claremont Ranch is located at the heart of the Marksheffel area and was developed between 2002 and 2009. Claremont Ranch features single family homes with an average of 2500 square feet of living space, perfect for medium sized families. If you don't need that much room, there are also many well-appointed townhomes for sale in Claremont Ranch for singles and smaller families.
Banning Lewis Ranch is still a largely undeveloped area. The huge 20,000 acre parcel stretches from north to south at Woodmen Road past Bradley Road and spans east to west from Meridian Road to Marksheffel Road. The history of Banning Lewis Ranch dates back to 1897 and the property has changed hands multiple times. Today, a few different owners share a portion of the land, with Oakwood Homes and Norwood Development being two of the major players.
Falcon School District 49 serves the students living in the Marksheffel communities and the primary zip codes are 80927 and 80951. Peterson Air Force Base is located just 5 miles from the heart of Marksheffel and Schriever Air Force Base and Fort Carson are both just a short 20 minute commute.
